This is a tough one and I am sure there are lots of criticisms one could make of the President regarding his first 100 days, but I would probably be so awe-struck at getting the chance to shake his hands and look him in the eye, I would probably be tongue tied. That would be such a pity because, having written so many articles on him, it is clear that I have a lot to say. But being afar from someone one respects and suddenly coming face to face is not the same thing.
I believe that after I had got over the emotion of the moment, this is what I would say.
"Great work, Sir. Thanks for the leadership you have provided and raising America's standing in the world. We in the UK Iook forward eagerly to the rest of your term."
