Gosh, I have so many choices on this one, lots of films I have seen which have really moved me, or that I have seen a few times. But some definitely stay in the memory longer than others.
However, if I have to be pushed to choose just three, they would have to be the following:
* Rainman (1988) with Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise
(The fascinating world of autistic savants. Superb acting by Mr Hoffman. I was so moved by it.)
* The Deerhunter (1978) with Robert De Niro and Christopher Walken.
(An in-depth examination of the way the Vietnam war affects the lives of people in a small industrial town in the USA. Wow! is all I can say to this poignant, gut-wrenching film.)
* The Shawshank Redemption (1994) with Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman (A film about hope, sheer determination and faith in the face of gross injustice and hopelessness! Just blows you away.)
