SourceNo, I am not. I was born in Kingston, Jamaica - a place where if you have a job, a house and some money, or at least two of the three, you are in paradise. You wouldn't want to leave it.
decided to come to the United Kingdom to study nursing in the late Sixties and to return to Jamaica. But I met my ex-husband a year before my training was finished. We decided we couldn't do without each other and got married soon afterwards, a relationship which lasted 35 years.
Now I am living in Berkshire, England. It's called the Royal County of Berkshire because that's where Windsor Castle is, one of the Queen's main homes, and she is often in residence there. It is a lovely leafy county with the River Thames meandering through it. A wonderful place for walks. I am very happy here and wouldn't live anywhere else because it has excellent commuting services so lots of people live here and work in London.
