Today is a historic day for our world. President Barack Obama was re-elected with some common sense voting. There is much to celebrate and to be thankful for, because hate has been pushed to the sidelines for now, allowing joy, hope and love to take centre stage again! 

Because of the time difference, I slept through the whole event, but I console myself with the memory of being in Grants Park on the night of the first election to see him triumph. that will last me a lifetime.

Long may the Democrats continue in office until the Republicans learn some selflessness, humility and inclusiveness. And something tells me that will be a long time in coming as they become more extreme, perhaps! After all, their bitterness is now twofold.

But for me, I have been lapping up the positive vibes across the Pond and these pictures are the result. I wanted to share the joy with all my lovely American friends. Congratulations to you all because that was certainly a victory for THE PEOPLE!!
