We spend so much time nowadays before a computer, it has become integral to our lives, embedded in our activities without even being noticed. But how much do we each spend on it, on average?
For me, a routine amount of time at my my computer is between 8 and 10 hours daily because I have at least four websites to service, which are slowly becoming my livelihood. I do everything at my computer: research, writing my articles, subscribing to clubs and, of course, reading the daily news and papers. As I am semi-retired, the computer is my 'work' base and every bit of information I need is there.
Furthermore, I find that being on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter adds more minutes on to the ever increasing time spent looking at a screen. In fact, the only time I am not at my computer is when I am with boyfriend/family and friends, I am out at some leisure event or I am relaxed at home listening to some music. But I do enjoy my time on it so I cannot complain.
