It's been an interesting year for me. A year ago, nearly a year ago this week, I accepted a position at a company with a product I significantly believed in. Really, strongly believe in. I believe they are a company that works on products that have a chance to make a real, permanent difference in the world. Being a director/manager in our IT would be an honor - a chance to bring my independent consulting skills to the test and face an all new challenge. After years of being independent, the idea of a nice corporate job sounded fantastic. Good pay, benefits, vacation.. oh, vacation! The things an independent just doesn't have. I wish that's how the story ended. In the end, I find that I may be pushed this week to make one of the scariest decisions in my life - to be Norma Ray.
The loss of corporate decency, a tale of workplace horror
