After the end of their marriage with a divorce, the angry ex wife from Superior, Wisconsin, thought she would go one step further. She dumped all his belongings on the lawn so anyone could have them for free, sprayed his CMC Yukon SUV with the word 'cheater' and put up a sign saying 'ex-husband sale'. She had filed for the divorce which was finalised a week before her action.
Having got what she wanted, was she really right to do this, no matter how she felt, and would she have been happy having her ex done that to her?
Cheating is not a nice thing but the way we treat someone in any crisis reflects more on who we are than the person we are trying to hurt. Does any amount of anger give us the right to treat anyone like that, especially in a relationship where it takes TWO, not just one person, to make that partnership work?
Is revenge over a partner ever really of value, especially when no relationship is guaranteed to last and people are constantly evolving from one stage to the next?
What do you think?
