On the face of it, England, the USA and Germany should crush their opponents in today's critical matches. But currently, Germany is having a hard time against Serbia in their match, having conceded a goal in the first half, and with both teams notching up more yellow cards than goals. In fact, the match is proving so vicious, the German team have four yellow cards already, with Miroslav KLOSE having two yellow cards for himself, which resulted in his sending off. They are down to 10 men now, which perhaps helped Serbia to score and take the lead! Expect fireworks in the second half!
The USA might have a problem on their hands with the determined Slovenia, who has already won a match in their group. A win for them will definitely see them through to the last 16 teams, which gives them a psychological and placing advantage. USA feels confident of putting themselves through as well, and have beaten them in the past, but the difference between the teams is not very big so USA could be on their way home today if they do not pull out all the stops, especially if England beats Algeria.
Speaking of those two teams, I don't think England could hold its head up in the UK if they are beaten by the No. 32 team! Algeria is determined but has no form, unlike England, the former FIFA champions and a European top club. We expect them to deliver today otherwise they really cannot think too much of themselves and do not deserve their support. Time we saw the goods.
Well, may the best teams win!
