Amidst the carnage by Israel in Gaza, it is reported that more rockets were fired into Israel today, this time from Lebanon. Not a very good development at all, for anyone. However, in its ferocious and aggressive attack on Gaza, Israel has lost all sense of proportion and morality in the bid to escalate the conflict with its neighbour. It has lost the high ground through brutish disrespect and the casual and indifferent way it has slaughtered many innocent children. It doesn't seem to matter anymore how many people die so that Israel can 'feel safe'.
In the light of the bloody carnage of a defenceless people, and the dangerous way things are developing, the key question Israel need to ask itself, and provide a clear answer for, urgently, is this one:
Will it kill every Palestinian and Lebanese in order to stop the rockets?
It's a very important question because, unless it is clear about its own objectives, Israel cannot achieve them, and only an insane person keeps doing the same things on and on, while expecting different results. As the rockets have continued relentlessly, rightly or wrongly, and the main objective is to stop them, it begs the question: just what lengths will Israel go to achieve this in order to protect its borders?
