The singer issued a statement through her publicist Liz Rosenberg, which categorically said: "There are no divorce plans".

The couple spent last weekend apart, after Madonna flew to New York, leaving Ritchie in London, and were both photographed without their wedding rings, prompting more speculation that their union was at crisis point.
