Is it true that male children are closer to their mothers, while female children are closer to their fathers? Is there any real evidence of that?
I was closer to my mother, but then my father left home when I was 6 years old so one could say that I didn't really get to know him or had the chance to become close at all. For my own family, before the fallout, my son was certainly closer to me, feeling more empathetic and warmer, while my daughter was more independent and detached, I suppose a bit like me.
How does it apply to you, personally? Is it true or the opposite?
