What special gift would you give to someone deserving and who would it be? (Quick Quest 28)

We all have ideas of helping some deserving people with something really special, and there are so many things I would want to give, starting with my own children, like the gift of compassion, perhaps? For my best friend Gwellian in Wales, it would have to be the gift of a fabulous guy for Christmas, one who would treat her and love her in the wonderful way she deserves. She is such a heartwarming and magical person, with so much to give. She is being wasted on her own. On Newsvine, a gift of complete health would go to each of Plethora Rosie's daughters, and I would send Old Fogey back to when he was 35 years old to see what he would do with a second chance!

Farther afield, I would give each of my sisters at least a $1m to improve their life quality and, for my amazing neice in New York, it would have to be an extra brain that can easily absorb all her necessary college exams and let her pass in flying colours. I am sure she will do that by herself but, that would be so cool to have a really brainy brain in reserve. I would also give the gift of water to a community that needs it, or the gift of a fine education to someone poor who cannot afford it, and the gift of mobility to someone in a wheelchair. I think I would have a field day giving gifts that would change the lives of others for the better in a variety of ways.

However, my special gift would be the gift of eyesight and it would go to Stevie Wonder, the singer, my great hero. A most amazing man who has had to live without sight all his life, yet has not let it impede his progress or retard his talent in any way. He has always been trendy in dress and outlook and it would be so incredible if he could see the Internet and all those others innovations he has only heard of or felt with his hands, not to mention his children. What a Christmas that would be for him and his family!

What gift would you give, being a god for a day, and who would be the lucky recipient(s)?

My mother has been longing for a full set of her mothers china, her intention is to complete 3 full sets, so that she can pass it on to us. The china is rather expensive and rare, so we have been buying it as we can afford too. There is a woman in California who has the remaining peices she needs, but it costs $1,500, I would buy my mom the gift she has longed for, for so long.
